The year is almost coming to an end and there have been so many new green beauty products on my radar recently. If you’re planning to do some green beauty shopping for the holidays, these items would also be great gift ideas:
- Modern Minerals – “Beauty By Britanie Bohemian Collection” – This is a collaboration between two cool green beauty brands: Modern Minerals & Lotus Wei and one of my favorite beauty bloggers: Britanie from BeautyByBritanie. The collection includes a bright pink mineral blush ($22) and a fuschia lip gloss ($24), which are both infused with gemstones and flower essences! According to the Modern Minerals website: “A modern alchemic collaboration with Lotus Wei, the MOODS collection incorporates the emotive properties of gemstone and flower essences to uplift and awaken positivity. Pink camellia flowers + pink tourmaline are combined with a light floral fragrance naturally composed of lavender, chamomile, rose and neroli.” I’ve heard that the products smell amazing! I usually prefer pressed products but I’m curious about trying these. I can’t wait to see what other products they come up with.
- Kypris Beauty – Moonlight Catalyst ($72) – I feel like every green beauty blogger has raved about this nighttime natural retinol serum. It is often sold out at many green beauty retailers (like Petit Vour and The Detox Market), so that alone is a testament to it’s current popularity in the green beauty world. According to Spirit Beauty Lounge: the Moonlight Catalyst is “more effective yet less irritating than AHAs [because] fermented pumpkin enzymes soften and refine the skin by gently exfoliating. Nutrient, vitamin, and antioxidant-rich Hawaiian Sea Algae deeply hydrates the skin to moisturize without clogging pores. Supercritical extractions of Rosehip Seed and Sea Buckthorn Fruit deliver all the essential fatty acids to treat for irritated or chapped skin. Biomimetic Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) is a beautiful peptide that mimics the renewing benefits of your skin’s naturally regenerating abilities. Organic neroli flower extract soothes the skin and leaves behind its delicate aroma.” Out of all the reviews that I’ve read on Kypris Beauty, the overall consensus seems to be if you can only try one product from their line, this is it. I’ve read mixed reviews on the Antioxidant Dew. I haven’t seen any true negative reviews, but some people have complained that they didn’t see a big difference in their skin while using the product. I’ve tried a sample of the Antioxidant Dew and I did like it. I think that I will probably pick up a full-size at some point.
- Lotus Wei – Perfume Sampler ($30) – This set is perfect for trying out all of Lotus Wei’s scents or even just to use for traveling. The samples come in a half dram bottle and the only con is that the scent only lasts a couple hours since there aren’t any chemical or synthetic fixatives or preservatives used. I’ve tried the serums and mists in Infinite Love and Inner Peace. Infinite Love is my all time favorite so far. I want to try all their scents, so this sampler would be perfect since it takes me forever to use up a full-size product anyway. Also, if I finish up a sample quickly, then I know for sure that I need the full-size version.
Rituel De Fille – According to their website: “All Rituel de Fille products are 99% natural, and handcrafted without parabens, phthalates, synthetic dyes or synthetic fragrances. We never test on animals, and only source our raw materials from companies that are also 100% cruelty free.” First of all, can we talk about the gorgeous packaging? I love the stars on the packaging and the magical “witchy” feel of the line. I think the whole brand is unique and feels more like a conventional brand than a green beauty brand, which is great if you’ve been trying to find a makeup line that is cruelty-free and non-toxic but still feels glamorous. I think the colors are on trend for fall and can’t wait to see more reviews on this new line.
21 Drops – Essential Oil Blends ($29 each) – These are not cheap by any means but they are so cool. I have a sample of the 21 Drops in “Focus”, which came in the October Organic Bunny box and the peppermint oil really wakes up your senses. The 21 Drops packaging is colorful and modern. So far, 21 Drops in De-Stress, Sleep, and Pain Relief are on my wishlist.
- Mahalo – Skin Balm ($72) – With ingredients such as Turmeric, Macadamia oil, Tamanu oil, Carrot oil, Neem oil, Kukui oil, Sea Buckthorn, Rosehip oil, Grapeseed butter and Beeswax, this balm is designed to sooth, protect, and moisturize the skin. I’ve been wanting to try this balm for months! I’m happy that I was able to try Mahalo’s Pele Mask & Vacation Glow through my Beauty Heroes box. The only thing I haven’t tried from the line are the Skin Balm and the Vitality Elixir. I love that the packaging is made out of bamboo and eco-friendly. It’s a beauty win for you and the environment! 🙂
Let me know what’s on your fall beauty wishlist in the comments or if you have tried any of the products listed above.
