Silk Naturals Haul – Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette Clone

I’ve been wanting to try out Silk Naturals for awhile now and I picked up their Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette Clone (Bare Necessities Set #1) recently along with a few samples and a vegan lipstick. What I really like about Silk Naturals is that they have a lot of dupes of popular eye shadows from Urban Decay and MAC without the hefty price tag and toxic chemicals. They have clones of all the Urban Decay Naked Palettes and not only are they more affordable, but if there are certain colors you want, you can simply purchase them individually.

According to Silk Naturals’ website:

Typical pressed shadows contain up to 20% binders.  Silk Natural’s loose shadows are packed with pigment and blend beautifully

The colors are:  Restless, Trouble, Bare Back, Saddle Up, Stag, Caliber, Colt, Scout, Loaded, Action, Magnum, Blue Steel

The entire kit is Vegan, and Gluten Free.  Each 5-gram jar contains approximately 3/4 teaspoon of product.

Ingredients: Mica, Titanium Dioxide, Zinc Oxide, Magnesium Myristate, Magnesium Stearate, Boron Nitride, Silica Also contains : Iron Oxides, Tin Oxide

Their mineral eyeshadows are very pigmented, so a little goes a long way. I don’t own the original Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette, but based on the swatches and other reviews that I’ve read, these are pretty darn close to the real thing. The only real con to this set is that it only comes in a loose mineral powder form. How amazing would it would be if Silk Naturals had pressed eyeshadows? However, I’ve read that you can press your own mineral eyeshadows. Once you’ve pressed them, you can simply place them in a Z Palette and take them with you if you’re on the go. How awesome do these palettes look? I’m thinking about possibly pressing my mineral eye shadows in the future. I just have to get all the supplies first…

The other items that I purchased from Silk Naturals were a sample of a bronzer called Tahiti Sweetie (a Benefit Hoola dupe) and a vegan lipstick in Negligee (a MAC Velvet Teddy dupe). My order also came with a couple freebies: a free eyeshadow in Dubloons, a sample of another eyeshadow in Kismet, and a mineral powder coral blush in Mwah!. I don’t wear a lot of makeup on a daily basis, but I LOVE my Silk Naturals Vegan Lipstick! I think it is the perfect peachy, nude color. It’s very pigmented and moisturizing. It kind of reminds of the Revlon Lip Butter products, which is perfect for me as I tend to gravitate toward tinted lip balms. They’re also similar in price, so this is a great natural alternative if you’re thinking about cleaning up your beauty routine.

While Silk Naturals does not offer samples for their eye shadows or lip products, they do offer returns on all eyeshadows and lip products that you do not love. Plus, for every $35 that you spend (shipping included), you’ll receive a FREE loose powder eye shadow or lip balm. You also earn points and rewards for all your purchases and if you spend over $125, your shipping is free!

The Bare Necessities Set 1 (Urban Decay Naked 1 Clone) was $39.99, the Tahiti Sweetie bronzer sample was $1.25, and the Vegan Lipstick in Negligee was $5.75. I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to trying out more products from Silk Naturals. If you are new to green beauty products, then Silk Naturals is a great place to start since it’s very budget-friendly and has popular shades for all types of makeup products.
