Vintage Style

I’ve always been a huge fan of peter pan collars, bows, floral prints, lace, tights, satchels, and brogues. I think that they are timeless style elements that are easy to incorporate into your everyday style. The best place to find unique items is your local thrift store (trust me, your wallet will thank you), however, such items can just as easily be found at the following retailers:

  • Urban Outfitters -I usually stalk their Sale section for bargains. You can find tops for as low as $4.99! – $$
  • American Apparel -A good place to find basics, especially tights and hair accessories- $$
  • Forever 21 -An inexpensive trendy indulgence – $
  • Topshop – Although their stuff is generally pricey, they have some AMAZING pieces from time to time. It is good to invest in a piece you know you will really love and wear often Β – $$$
  • ASOS -They have some really good online deals throughout the year. I love that they offer free shipping and have cool runway video clips of their clothing – $$
  • Modcloth – If you covet Zooey Deschanel’s whimsical, retro vintage style, then this is the place for you! Warning: this place is on constant cuteness overload – $$
  • T.J. Maxx – This place is like thrifting for new clothes! They have some really great bargains here from brands such as Free People, Steve Madden, French Connection, and Urban Outfitters. You may have to sift through a lot of clothing to find some gems, but trust me, the bargains are well worth it. I’ve noticed that different locations carry different merchandise, so the shopping experience can be hit or miss. I think my favorite bargain so far was a pair of Steve Madden moto rain boots for $10! – $
